Creating a WIX Website

​My experience with web building on WIX for e-portfolio was very straight forward and easily accessible. Creating an account on WIX, by giving an email, password, and answer basic questions of why you are creating a website. After setting up the account, you get to choose a template for your website. The template I chose is called Nature because I planned to research and write about nature for this W131 course. I have a passion for nature and the significance it has on us and the whole world.

After choosing a template that relates to my writing, I learned the layout of the website the title pages are located at the top. On the home page, I plan to introduce myself as a writer and my writings on the website site. I plan to put a personal photo and summary of my studies and the writing assignment. I would introduce myself on the home page by telling the readers about my degree and my writing assignments. I want my audience to target my experience of creating a website for e-portfolio and my connection with my writing. I will so establish context and purpose for the home page by giving a short introduction of my writings to lead the reader to the writing of their interest.

Hyperlinks will enhance the reader's experience of internal and external sources. The internal hyperlinks help the reader navigate sources on the website linking to the writing. The external hyperlinks enhance the resources available from the website to connect with the writing. Hyperlinks are a good way to incorporate sources into your writing when creating a website.

On the film review page, I used hikers exploring nature photos and the John Muir Trail Map to connect with the documentary. I research the drawing of the map John trail Muir, I cited with the hyperlink to the photo underneath and on the citation page. I also included photos of the pioneer village and the caves on my hike in Spring Mill state park. I use an army green color for the background for some of the photos and a text box to match the nature-themed background. For my main paragraphs, I use an 18pt font. Also, I use a much larger size font for the titles of the pages and the titles of the photos. At the bottom of the page, including work cited of the reliable resources used in the writing.
When creating a WIX website, it should be to look professional or realistic so the viewers will be more likely to want to explore the website. Creating my e-portfolio on my website made form an informative website about my writings, which is a great way to share my writings. Creating the website should be interested in unique in your own way to share your writing with classmates, friends, and family in a modern epic way.
